The story of Christopher Columbus of Genoa is well known, pursuing new trade routes for the Spanish Crown, convinced he could get to places faster given that, for him, the earth was round.

Fortunately for him and the Crown, on October 12, 1492, 2 months and 9 days after departing from Palos de La Frontera, Colombus or Colón in Spanish, discovers America or The New World, a term coined by Amerigo Vespucci who set out to explore and document the new-found lands.

Mil Demonios is the only Colombian aguardiente to win 2 silver medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2018, one for packaging design and the other for liquid in the “Guaro-Aguardientes” (Rhum Agricole) category.

This competition is one of the most recognized in the world, where a blind tasting jury tests and qualifies the liquids. We are the first ultra-premium artisanal Aguardiente in Colombia since 2017.

We always seek to improve and every year we review our formula and processes, which is why in 2021 we won a gold medal and a Silver again in 2022 a the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
